Mike brings a distinct blend of experience from his recent role at Canaccord Genuity in New York and an impressive background as a professional athlete.
During his tenure at Canaccord Genuity, Mike played an important role in multiple transactions across the Technology, Media, and Information Services sectors, demonstrating excellence in project management, due diligence, financial modeling, and client service. Notable transactions he facilitated include a $250 million deal for a Digital Transformation Specialist and a $165 million initiative for a Global Marketing Agency, among others.

Mike earned a B.S. in Finance from St. John’s University, where he not only excelled academically but also contributed significantly to the Red Storm baseball team, aiding in its national tournament success while also earning numerous academic accolades. After college, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates and played professional baseball, a testament to his tenacious work ethic and exceptional discipline—traits that he has brought into his finance career. Mike’s grit and determination are evident in every aspect of his professional undertakings and are a great fit with the Ascend team.
