Alex Weinberg

Alex serves as an Investment Banking Analyst at Ascend, supporting financial modeling, market research, and transaction execution across the firm’s software and technology verticals.

Prior to joining Ascend, Alex gained experience with The Riverside Company’s Micro-Cap Fund in New York. During his tenure, he contributed to financial analysis and diligence workstreams across numerous private equity transactions in vertical software, franchising, and business services, while developing comprehensive LBO models and investment committee materials. His prior experience includes roles with MAI Capital Management and Senpage Consulting in Copenhagen.

Alex graduated from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business with a BBA and completed a semester abroad at the University of New South Wales in Sydney.

Outside the office, Alex trains in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, snowboards, and loyally supports the Cleveland Browns.
